Terms of Use
Effective November 4, 2026
The agreement
Ember is made by Saul Plascencia (“we” or “us”). By downloading or using Ember, you agree to these Terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). The Standard EULA governs your license to use the app. These Terms add the details below. If you don't agree, please don't use Ember.
Subscriptions
Ember offers a single subscription with monthly and annual plans. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by region.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions on your iPhone.
- Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
Free trial
Eligible new subscribers may get a free trial. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription. If you buy a subscription during a free trial, any unused part of the trial is forfeited.
Refunds
Apple handles all payments and refunds. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Health disclaimer
Ember isn't medical advice. Strength Scores, lift estimates, recovery status, and projections are estimates meant for motivation only. They aren't measurements of your health or fitness.
Talk to a doctor or qualified professional before starting a new training program, and always train within your abilities. You're responsible for how you train.
Acceptable use
Use Ember for your own personal training. Please don't:
- break the law while using the app,
- copy, modify, reverse engineer, or resell the app, except where the law allows it, or
- try to bypass the subscription or interfere with how the app works.
Your data
Your workouts, journal, and other data belong to you. They're stored on your device and in your own iCloud account. See the Privacy Policy for details.
No warranty
Ember is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted, or that your data will never be lost. We recommend exporting your data from time to time.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data or injuries from training, that result from using Ember. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Ember in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using Ember after an update, you accept the new Terms.
